Watering Solutions

Rainwater Tanks, Grey Water & Drip systems

A properly thought out watering system by experienced garden professional will save water, money, material use and enable you to grow healthy food year round in your own sustainable micro environment.

Our experts are very experienced gardeners understanding the ins and outs of plant water requirements, soil absorption and the technical details of rainwater harvesting and grey water systems.

We consider all aspects of maximising the effectiveness of the available water by discussing micro contouring on site, storm water utilisation (retention of water on site strategically), mulching and can give advice on suitability of plants for dry conditions.

Our consultants can advise on the best types of watering system for your property and how to best use it.

Travel Surcharges May Apply

Important note: We are based in Bulleen. We do cover quite a large area without surcharges, however if you live outside this area there may be a surcharge added to the listed fee to cover the consultant's travel costs. You will be informed if this charge applies to you (and how much) when we contact you to organise the consultancy, so you won't get any nasty surprises on the day.

A normal consultancy will take one hour and costs $140.

This package also includes

  • Single onsite visit

  • Rough sketch or outline of recommendations by consultant

Optional extra:

Anyone who has a garden consultancy also has the option of purchasing 3 spots in any of our Sustainable Living and Gardening Classes for only $60. (Normally $75). To view our upcoming class list click here.

Discount Vouchers

At the end of your consultancy you will receive 3 BAAG discount vouchers that entitle you to 15% off plant purchases and 7.5% off all other purchases (excludes paving, retaining walls, instant turf and water tanks as they are already discounted).

Preparation

The better prepared you are, the more you will get out of your onsite meeting. A little bit of research goes a long way, look through gardening magazines for the style of gardens that you like, consider how much time you would like to spend in the garden or other factors that may influence the style of garden that will suit you. Although our designers are very good, they are unable to create the perfect garden for you without your input.

Please note:

  • This is not a quote for work to be done, it is a service that provides advice by a consultant who visits you in your garden.

  • This is not a garden design service. At the end of the consultancy you will end up with a rough sketch and a list of suggested plants and ideas.

  • While we do offer a very wide area of coverage, consultancies may not be available to some areas of Melbourne.
