Vegie Swap

The BAAG Vegie Swap is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month between 10am and 11am. The aims are to learn about growing your food at home, meet other gardeners and swap your excess produce.

Catch up with old friends if you’ve been to the BAAG Vegie Swap before. Meet some new gardening friends if you haven’t. Vegie Swaps are a great opportunity to learn about food growing, meet other keen gardeners, share your experiences and excess produce and pick up something nice for dinner!. You can also ask BAAG nursery staff and other swappers any gardening questions you may have.

Bring along any vegies, fruit or herbs you have harvested, also preserves and recipes. Bring a morning snack to share if your garden is bare. Be inventive! Bring some things that not everyone else is growing. Just be careful not to bring any fruit or vegetables that may have fruit fly. You may not have a lot to swap every month, but bring along some extra next month. Before you select something to take home, take some time so everyone can see what others are growing and it is shared.

The BAAG Vegie Swap Facebook page can be found at: http://www.facebook.com/baagvegieswap, and if you would like email reminders you can
become a BAAG Member and add yourself to the Vegie Swap Reminder mailing list.
